A 2600 stall would be well suited for your uses especially one of the ones from Circle D as you won't lose your towing ability and it will be just awesome to drive.

That said I like your truck looks nice. My recommendation is lose the shorties(they do very little over stock) and get some long tubes. Get some better gear's in there at least 4.10's, but with 35's you would love 4.56's. Sounds like you are already pretty happy with your truck, but like most lifted trucks on the road gears and a small stall are really going to wake it up.

Don't get a big cam without a stall to match.

So if I get a 2600 and do gears how much will this affect the gas and highway use? I know these things never get killer gas millage but with a tiny 22 gallon tank it needs to be fed often! Don't want to make it like 8 mpg, I get about 12 city and 14 highway. If it is gonna kill that I will just be happy as is.

Buddy had 4.56 but was also at like 3,000 rpm's on the highway at like 70 (but it was a sick truck) I drive more then most to get to my hunting spots plus I pull a small trailer.

As far as the headers... When I put the shorty's on it was the first time I put a bolt on accessories and actually felt the difference. I don't know if I would say they don't do much over stocks??

Also, truck has two pipes down to one muffler and two out. Am I killing this truck with not having two in and out (true dual) it does not have cats. Thanks!

The gears will actually help mileage around town and the TC will drop you about 1mpg. The TC may even end up helping since its a job to get those big tires moving.
On a dyno the shorties can't touch the Long tubes and the sound quality is awesome. Most guys on here just run a y-pipe to single 3''in/out mufflers. The type of muffler makes the bigger difference. Is it straight through or chambered? What brand/model?

Sounds like a plan! Anyone have an idea what gears and a TC will run (ball park)? Also a good quality TC and gear manufacutre as I am now pretty excited to do this and will be looking to get this done soon.

As far as the exhaust I have no idea as this came on it and for the moment sounded good and seemed ok, now I am rethinking that. I would also probably be looking to redo this so any recommendaitons for this would be great.

Any order of doing this that would be better doubt I can afford to do it in one wack!

    Okay a circle D TC is 400$.
a gear swap kit is about 185$
If you got a complete Trutrac rear locker with gears is about 425$
Pacesetter LT headers and Y is about 380-450
Custom 3in. Catback with a magnaflow is about 250-300 at an average shop
    Vette servo is 20$

Check out Circle D for the servo and TC also might want to pick up a big trans cooler too its like $180
Ron's Machining for the gears and/or trutrac
Texas Speed has reasonable prices on the headers, but could just wait for some used ones to come up.
Get a local shop to do the cat-back.
Also resell your current exhaust and make some money back.

Circle does not make a 400 dollar converter for a 4l80e. And were the hell are you getting these prices?

They do for the 60e. Could've saw 1500 and not thought of the HD. Maybe that's what he was thinking? It's still a good list for us beginners.
