I personally like my SIG p229, But its all stainless with composite grips. Its a little hefty, but its nice and small and with 40s&w, it packs some serious punch. I never do get to shoot it though. But hopefully i'll never have to use it.

I like the sigs, I like the kahrs, but this was just a deal that was too sweet to pass up. Seriously... how many times is someone going to get shot with anything and keep running? I don't aim for legs...

Kel-Tec also says during their break in process, it is common for rounds to jam in the first 150 or so shots through it until everything sort of meshes together correctly. I'll get 150 shots through it quickly.

ever seen someone shot with a 9mm compared to a .45 when the adrenaline is pumping they keep running, also wounding somone and dropping them or incapacitating them is better on you conscience than killing them, once you take a life it wieghs heavily, forever, just saying

Just out of curiosity how many of you actually feel that you need a carry? Or is it more of a hobby deal? Not in a million years would I ever need too, but I probably would if Canada's handgun laws weren't retarded. Even with me having my license for them it's still a complete nightmare.

Guns are a hobby of mine, I honestly don't have an exact # in my head right now of how many I own all together, I know its more than 25 and less than 35.
I have guns for just conversation pieces to hunting, target practice, personal protection, armageddon, you name it.

But as for carrying, I can't speak for everyone who carries, but I personally carry for piece of mind that I will be prepared if and when the need ever arises that I have to defend myself or my family from some of the scum on this Earth.

I don't want this day to come, I go through life every day hoping it doesn't and I have a conscience, but if and when that day comes I'll be ready and you better believe I won't be aiming to wound them or slow them down, instead it will be lights out.

Most of my guns are for hunting... I have a picture somewhere of most of them. I'm an avid outdoorsman. Fishing, hunting, plinking... I love it all. There are 3 more guns I want and I'll probably be done for a while. I want a Savage .308 for targets. I want a Bushmaster .223 just to have. I want an XDm .45 for the house. That's all I desire right now.

    Ruger .280
    Rem .270
    Knight .45
    Knight .50
    Rem 870 12
    Mossberg 500 20
    Rem .22 Mag
    Ruger 10-22

Leupold fan much? 4 of them in that pic and 2 more in the gun cabinet. Got a 6x18 VXIII that I used to have on my .223 before I retired it to the truck. It'd be on my .280 if it wasn't too powerful for the areas I hunt. Don't ask why I have a VXII 3-9 on my .50... I know it doesn't make sense. I have a good friend that owns a pawn shop and I get them cheap. I had a Tasco on the .50 forever because dad wasn't using it and it was just fine for hunting the wooded areas I use. One season it decided to take a dump and wouldn't hold a 1ft group. Just went and got the VXII for 150 bucks and slapped it on in a rush. I had plans of swapping it with the 2-7 but never got around to it.

The last 22 was my grandpas. I have no idea what make it is. It's a single shot. I have a break over 410 that was my mothers that is in storage. There's a .22 and a Jr model .308 in there with it. I have a New England .223 break over Jr. Model that I leave in the jeep for... coyotes... or whatever else I see on the side of the road. I also have a junk .32 that was my grandpas that I've looked at once. It's in storage as well.

When my other grandpa dies, I've been promised most of his gun collection. It includes a couple of Model 1 and a Remmington 45/70 carbine...

    Also bow hunt...

Not usually a "need" -more that I view the Bill of Rights = Citizen's Bill of Responsibilites, therefore I always carry and have since I was 19.

You know I have no conscience. I honestly think if I had to drop someone, it wouldn't be an issue. Social Darwinism. You're stupid enough to get up and run, you're stupid enough to get shot again. I realize I haven't been in the military or anything of the sort, but if someone I care about is in danger... you better believe I'll be on it like white on rice son.
