If I were to go back I might have done this to my stock 5.3. First thing get the trans all built up. Then 4:10's and a Trutrac. Then cam ls6 intake and maybe lq4 heads. And don't forget the nasty stall with that trans. Still not the cheapest rout but cheaper than a built bottom and safer than nitrous. Rev it to like 6500 maybe 7k and it would be fun to drive.

Don't even bother with a 75 shot. Go to a 100 or 125.
Shift kit, servos, and a trans cooler. Or just get a fully built unit from somewhere.

o kk, well maybe ill look into that? i got vette servos is the transgo 2 shift kit any good? and ya i been looking at trans coolers whats a good kit to use if i go that route? thanks trav 4 the help bud

You're right I wasn't thinkin. I should have said L92 heads. But I haven't looked at the CC volume for those heads yet.
Looks like that would raise compression too. Maybe just some porting would be best.
You can't use L92 heads on a 5.3 either. Has to have a 4.00" bore at least for the L92s.
