    You're right I wasn't thinkin. I should have said L92 heads. But I haven't looked at the CC volume for those heads yet.

    Looks like that would raise compression too. Maybe just some porting would be best.

    You can't use L92 heads on a 5.3 either. Has to have a 4.00" bore at least for the L92s.

    depending on what year the 5.3 is, it may have the dished pistons. If this is the case you can get 4.8 flat top pistons to raise compression.

    Not a bad idea but I say if the motor comes out it should go back in built. But for a budget leave it in get the trans built with a converter a cam intake and e fans. I said e fans instead of heads
