Thread: Head bolt sequence and torque specs?

    Make sure you have the dowel guides in the block that align the heads. A past member here forgot to install them and it caused a head gasket to leak.

    Ok now where are those located? the heads were just oulled to look at the internals of the engine. are those something that needs to be replaced after pulling the heads?

    Also there isnt anything i need to put on the gaskets before i install them is there?
