looks cool. Is the frame bent the bed looks real crooked on the passenger side.
You can build a pretty stout slant six. We built a 225 for a customers duster last year. ported head, offy 360, split duals, comp solid. It ran pretty good. Way better than stock anyway.

I have 3 word for you. Custom Sport Special. But no it looks clean, nothing wrong with a slant six they're actually kind of fun with a 4 speed and BULLETPROOF. If you ever want to do IFS up front though a 72-93 clip is a dead fit as is a early C-Body. Should have a 8.75 rear end which will take whatever you can dream up. If you're doing the Slixer I'm sure you've heard of Clifford performance, but you're gonna have to do some machine work. The best /6 ran about 7.5:1 compression. There's lots of guys in Australia hanging turbos off the side of them though.....
I'm a little more familiar with the 72-93s but if ya need help lemme know, tracking down parts is a nightmare but I have a couple sources.

thanks for the comments, i looked at the offenhouser and clifford intakes, and got a carb lined up. no the frame is not bent, or i hope not, think its a body mount. hanging a turbo on it crossed my mind more than once in the last few days, but an intake and header will probably be the extent of that side of it. i have a bunch of guys offering to help out, my boy daniel at autozone offerd up his employee discount and another one of my boys cory owns a custom shop and has just been doing repair work on newer cars, he said he would help do the body work and spray my white base coat clear coat cheap. the only thing im not liking is the 3 on the tree.
