thanks for the comments, i looked at the offenhouser and clifford intakes, and got a carb lined up. no the frame is not bent, or i hope not, think its a body mount. hanging a turbo on it crossed my mind more than once in the last few days, but an intake and header will probably be the extent of that side of it. i have a bunch of guys offering to help out, my boy daniel at autozone offerd up his employee discount and another one of my boys cory owns a custom shop and has just been doing repair work on newer cars, he said he would help do the body work and spray my white base coat clear coat cheap. the only thing im not liking is the 3 on the tree.

and ya it will beat a hemi.

That should be an easy fix.

3 on the trees are fun, find a 833 OD (4 speed, no 1:1). You put an automatic behind a /6 and you'll want to kill yourself. I had an 86 with the factory Hyper-Pak and a 4speed with no OD, all I had done with it was a GM HEI ignition and a straight pipe (they have a very unique cool sound) and it was good around town. Don't ever expect decent fuel mileage though.

hopefully unique exhaust note is good? what type of muffler do you recomend?, i have 0 experience with the slant motors. im keeping the 3 on the tree, but it just dosnt seem fun to drive. i have a pretty good pile of new parts in the bed of the truck and the next 9 days off, so i should be crusing around soon. think allen could hook me up with a mail order tune? lol oh ya, what bolt pattern are the wheels?

They have an inline 6 sound thats obvious, but it's different from everyone out there. I just ran a straight pipe, but Flow's sound pretty good as do the right sized glasspack. Bolt pattern will likely be 5 on 4.5 or possibly 5 on 4. And like a lot of mid 60's Mopars it may have backwards (right to loosen) lugnuts on one side just something to be leary of and easily changed.

Here's a straight pipe vid (not mine) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpiGa...eature=related

    exhaust

get the clifford split header, run dual 2" pipes all the way back with red hots or cherry bombs. it will sound wild.

get the heated intake if you want to use it in the cold weather.

What do you want to run for a carb?
