that is also a thought, the 4l60 and 4l65 have different length shafts now that i think of it. not sure if the shaft length on the 4l60 is year dependant. could call the dealership and see most likely

02 5.3 sierra rcsb,its stock i swear ....
i know it was seated correctly, thats not the issue. I know the input shaft changed when they went to the pwm version in 95, but they should be the same from then on. The tc was full of fluid when i installed it, it doesnt make any weird noises from the trans when running. I dont know what the hell the issue is but im taking my quads to the badlands in two weeks so the truck needs to be moving. I dont have time to dick with it right now, i was hoping it was something easy but im looking at at least replacing the tc. Soooooooo I said "to hell with saving money", called Jasper and i have a lvl1 performance trans and tc coming tomorrow. Vacation back on track, minus $1470......:'(

i thank everyone for your replies! unfortunately auto transmissions just suck and i think from now on ill leave that aspect of my truck to a trans professional. I already wasted enough trying to budget-build a craigslist tranny on my own.

i've successfully rebuilt a 4l60 before, but it was a customer at work, no swaps or anything. Just a soft rebuild, clutches and steels. but i changed stuff on this new one, sunshell, input sprag, etc.. maybe i effed something up in there, who knows? I dont!

X2 The Blazer I am pretty sure came with a 4.3 Vortec. The tail on the crank is different than the LS crank. My buddy tried to put a trans in his S-10 that had the V-6 and I had to change the input shaft for him. The trans came out of a Camaro so had to take the old shaft out of his old trans and put it in the new one. Also the tc should seat 3 times. If you didn't get 3 then your problem is the input shaft.

You know your truck sounds good when cops ask you to get on it.
