Cool guess I should have seen that in your sig.
if im not mistaken some year models came with the ls2 chain? i just did my cam swap and left the chain and oil pump alone. the chain was still tight and looked exactly like the ls2 chain we had on hand.
06ccsb, cammed, stalled, geared
i got 136,000 miles on the truck. .time to change the oil pump

the swap is still on going actually
nightmare after nightmare..
we finally made progress.. cam is in.. heads are on..
unknown fact.. 2007 or newer TRUCK 243 heads are NOT LS6 heads.. not really but kinda
everything is the same, except the coolant crossover tube.
on these heads the front passages were plugged off.. we had to knock it out to get the tube in the proper place.. thought we had done some really really wrong things.
the intake is goin on next.. after a small break

Sounds like bad o2 sensors or bad, missing or broken grounds. How does it do a wot? If good then its likely the sensors.

in park or neutral didnt quite go to WOT cuz we got it up between 5 and 6 grand on the tach with no issues.. its when its under load (in gear) that it does that.
