Thread: 4.8 5.7 ls1 swap questions

    The ls1 intake is less superior flowing than say a ls6 or fast intake, not many people run them if any. Also since the will be in a truck you most likely want to run the truck intake because the downside to the car intake even though you gain top end, you loose a decent amount of torque which never helps a fullsize truck.

    your starter and flex plate will swap over.
    Order a converter for the truck tranny.

    Will my 4.8 inhectors be enough for a cammed Ls1

    I stayed with a car intake with my LS1 swap in my ECSB P/U from power plus seems to work well. Real strong mid & upper end & if I lost any lower end I'll deal with it because its shoots off the line plenty hard and thats with my stock stall. Others have had problems with gasket leak. so far I have none but I plan to go to FAST intake soon as I can spot a good used one. I also will be removing my LS1 to replace bearing and upgrading cam and such, now that I found all my bugs on install from 5.3
