On a side bar, I went down and met the owner of Rock-ontransmissions.com today. Pretty nice guy. Dave and his son build HD transmissions or rebuilds stock units of any type. They have a transmission dyno that they test the units on before they are shipped, how many places do that? His specialty seems to be the 4L60/700R4/4L65/4L80Es. He told me some of the things they do to make the unit indestructable. It sounds to me like he really knows his stuff. I think he said that he had a 4L60e unit up in Maine or somewhere like that, behind 1050+ hp LS1 and it survived 27 passes at the strip! Damn, that sounds strong. The guys on LS1Tech speak highly of his work. He ships his transmissions worldwide if anyone ever needs a good strong unit. I think he said his 4L60E will survive daily life up to 650 hp. He never heard of LS1Truck.com so we may get a visit or two from him. He supports the transmission tech page on LS1tech and is willing to share his knowledge.
