I prefer PPG over dupont. It covers better IMO.

your shine comes mostly from the wetsanding and buffing processes, the quality of materials helps it stay that way. I too have heard from people that PPG is the better of the two.
2005 black Yukon XL SLT - traded in for me wife's new Fusion (GM sucks these days)
2002 black Yukon SLT (the skinny sister)
1969 green Pontiac GTO (Layla, AKA the black sheep)

the clear is really what you need to worry about, that and color sanding. But yeah wet sanding and buffing is the main ticket

ive seen omni shine beyond your wildest dreams, ive seen rubber seal shine better then others.

it all comes down to who is doing the work. if you wetsand/color sand every layer it will give you the best finish. Also the more coats you put on of clear and the straighter you make your finish the better the reflection. the product is only a small part of the equation.

who buffs it is also huge part of it. also what wax process you use is also huge part

as for truck listed above dont believe all you see, remember the amazing art of photoediting. a pos can look great in the right hands of a editor, not knocking his truck saying pos but just stating facts.

also if its a DD then why worry so much its going to be ruined the first time you wash it lazy. trucks like that are garage/trailer queens that only come out for shows

    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
