the bracket bolts to the transmission pan bolt hole from the bottom side. The shifter bracket you have on the linkage is for a column mount style shifter. You also have a bolt on style output yoke and it will not work very well if you have to use a slip joint style yoke. You can have a driveshaft made with the slip yoke on the driveshaft so that you're able to use the transmission in that configuration. I replaced the output shaft on mine to a slip joint late model style.

My truck is a column shift anyway. So I am good there. Slip yoke will have to get a new on there. I will call GM dealer and see if they have the bracket. Been checking around and all the trans places are out.

if you have the column shift with a cable you'll need the trans bracket at the pan and the linkage to bolt to the shift linkage rod going into the transmission. If you have a steel rod type linkage then you won't need the trans pan mounted bracket. If you have a 60e in there already you can swap the linkage bracket from it to your 80e.

Is the stock yoke a 3R Series for a 4L60e? Boy I sure do ask a lot of questions.

I thought the 60e trannys had the 27 spline - 1310 series slip yoke and the 80e trannys has the 32 spline - 1350 series slip yoke?

They make a 32 spline 3R yoke is way I was asking. If I go with the 1350 I will have to change the end of the drive shift to the 1350 right. Or is there a u-joint that is 1310 on one side and the 1350 on the other. As you can tell I am new at this.

Man no one said good luck at getting the plugs out of the neutral safety switch. Man never did get the top one out. Took the whole thing lose. Only got to work on it around two hours. Got the exhaust off most of the plugs apart. Man I happy to get started on it. The shifting part on the 4L80e will not work but should be able to use the 60 one. The Cable Bracket on the 60 will not work so I will need to find one of them it will take the one that goes on the pan bolts.
