Where can I purchase some of this ice guard you speak of? I need some sound deadening and would like to try a cheaper alternative, I forgot how noisy it can be when you are closer to the road.

one of the owens corning brands is just a 1/8'' rubber with just a peel n stick backing.just make sure some do have a 2'' asphalt strip for the first layer of shingle to stick to,you wouldnt want that one.
