Thread: ice guard as sound deadener?

    Where can I purchase some of this ice guard you speak of? I need some sound deadening and would like to try a cheaper alternative, I forgot how noisy it can be when you are closer to the road.

    lowes and home depot should be in the roofing section.usaully two sizes.
    Nothing stock...I either broke it or replaced it before I broke it!!

    Which brand did you find that sticks well and has no grit?

    '02 Avalanche 1500 Z-71, BFG All-Terrains, K&N FIPK, Superchips tuner (Nelson eventually), 750-watt Alpine stereo W/ JL midgate Stealthbox.

    one of the owens corning brands is just a 1/8'' rubber with just a peel n stick backing.just make sure some do have a 2'' asphalt strip for the first layer of shingle to stick to,you wouldnt want that one.
