I had a Fabtech kit on my 92 and it ruined the truck, it was totally undriveable as a street vehicle and it almost caused my truck to flip. I had their 4" spindle kit, 3" springs and tubular A-arms. Fabtech would not admit it was their crappy engineering that did it to the truck. I removed the kit from the truck and went back stock. Two years later they released a totally redesigned kit for my 92 application and won't even trade my old kit for partial credit. I ended up selling it off in parts and pieces. I'll never buy from them again or recommend their shoddy engineering to anyone.

My kit is for 99-07, it's their only design (that i know of) came with EVERYTHING. At 140, truck rides like a cadillac, takes turns better then most 4x4's stock. LITTLE stiff, but not bad. With a 79z28/trailer on the back, it squatted about 1.5 inches.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

My hubs are doing fine at 138k. Had 35's/37's for the past 15k miles. Before that, the truck was stock but wheeled hard in mud and driven hard on the street.
Big slow mud truck with a TUNE!!!!!!

Fabtech is the lift to use whether it be for a 2wd or 4wd. They are the best in the biz. Also, don't worry about the haters man, let them call you a poser or whatever they may do. I think it will look sick, you want it to LOOK good so don't spend the money to make it a desert racer if it isn't going to be a racer. How many people with these lifted trucks on 20"+ wheels actually take them off-road? I highly doubt many do unless they are crazy like me. My pewter Z71(beautiful truck, everything color matched, etc.) saw more off-road time than my 73 bronco(which had terrible paint and looked like a beater). I say lift it, put the fenders on, get some mid to negative offset wheels and drive the piss out of it.

and another thing, sell those wheels to dropem so I can buy his 22's
2005 black Yukon XL SLT - traded in for me wife's new Fusion (GM sucks these days)
2002 black Yukon SLT (the skinny sister)
1969 green Pontiac GTO (Layla, AKA the black sheep)

I would go camberg like you were planning. Fabtech is so cookie cutter. I know it will look bad ass. As far as poser, who really cares your the one driving it. Good luck and get to it.

Camburg is one of the BEST long travel lifts on the market next to Total Chaos. I've seen their product line up close and personal at offroad expo and they keep coming out with better and better kits and their fabwork is next to none. They are not just another Fabtech or every other pansy lift you see. They are the real deal and I have witnessed their long travel kits completely thrash the desert. GO Camburg if anything at all.
