    Sorry the porting comment wasn't directed towards you. What do you mean you stand behind what he stated about porting? He didn't really state anything about porting, I made more of a statement about porting than he did..so I'm a bit confused there.

    I wasn't trying to argue whether or not a direct and/ore unobstructed airflow path through the engine matters. Of course that matters. There are way too many variables though, as in how much the TB can flow, how much the intake, heads, exhaust, etc. can flow. Then there is the case of too big of an airflow. Like I said, I believe we completely misunderstood each other!
    I think we're on the same page here, technically. I know what you're getting at, regarding the negligible difference that a non-mandrel bend makes in relation to the airflow capabilities of the tb. My main point was that if you're gonna go through the trouble of replacing your cai, then you had better make sure you're maximizing all your potential variables. And lets be honest, its not always that easy to truly communicate by the typed word, either. I'll take that beer you've offered and send one in return

    Back to what the post was about. Got the Spectre and for the price cant be beat. Appreciated

    can get a decent off brand on e bay for less than $75 shipped that includes the filter, dam, polished tube, brackets and so on. it looks like a spectre that sells for about $150 at autozone
