    Damm,, if you need you can send it up here. I can weldR out for you... OR go to a 1/2npt size tap and get a reducer.

    just tap it out larger and fit the reducer like what was mentioned before. Seems relatively inexpensive, and youve come this far on your own

    Yup If you want a tight tapped threads especially in aluminum , use a smaller drill than what is called for by 1/32 a 17/32 instead of 9/16". Use thread cutting oil and go slow--backing the tap out often. You can also use your drill press. You should have your cover clamped down [ then it would not of warbled out the hole ]. When you use your drill press ---chuck in the tap---but turn it by hand only and use light pressure--keeps it straight.

    PS not all male pipe threads are the same. some need smaller holes to fit tight.

    first off i think i know how to drill and tape a hole every one has there off days, second i did use a smaller bit..... and thirdly i need the hole gone lol notice how the second one i made worked fine
