the cam and stall were installed by texas speed and performance the gears i installed myself but it was all tuned by texas speed i dont know really when it shifts but i know when it hit 3rd it starts to vibrate i think its rite at 80mph. do yall think the times and the vibration have to do wit the gears?

if you're in third gear at 80, what rpm are you at? That is the RPM you need to have the driveshaft balanced at. If your local shop can't do it, find one that can. Also, see how much slip yoke engagement you have. Your slip yoke should not have more than 1" of slide before it bottoms out, otherwise it can wobble on the splines and cause an imbalance. Also be sure your tires are balanced at the speed in question, if possible. Most shops don't have adjustable speed balancers for tires.

i went from 3:07s to 4:56s same drop kit same everything started getting NASTY vibrations at 80mph. put a 4 degree pinion shim in due to my flip kit i can do about 115 or so now before its a problem it has something to do with the pinion angle im guessing for you as well. i think the change in the speed of the driveshaft rotation makes it really noticeable that the pinion is off. my vibrations are nasty nast nasty scares me pretty good.
