    When it comes to wiring....


    WIRE IS WIRE. None of it is any better than the rest. The gauge is the only thing that matters. That price is ridiculously high. I'd build you a ported box for 150$ even, including supplies. Install is cake and if you're decent at any sort of wiring I would attempt it yourself.

    Edit, what Alpine sub are you running? Type R? Type X? I'd run the R IMHO.

    For shizzle. Pl4yboy is right about wire is wire, well kinda, the cheaper stuff is usually smaller guage. A lot of that scosche junk says it's 4 awg but when you look at the end the insulation is cheap and makes up for half of the diameter. When you look at the stinger, rockdford, jl, kicker, etc. The wire is either standard size or bigger. Basically what I'm saying is that the cheaper 4awg is about the same size as the better 8awg. 3/4" mdf is pretty much industry standard unless it's for tight applications.
