    Is there a diff in sound between 4.8's and 5.3's?

    The 06 4.8 w/ true duals and 40's flows sounded better than any 5.3 around here but most of them are either stock or striaght piped. I dont care if flows lost 20 hp i'd still have them "gotta love that sound".

    yeah displacement. it will make a world of difference in the sound of a motor.

    larger motor, and larger motor pushes more air, more air equals different sound

    i had true 3" with x and magapaks on my 408 sounded nascar, sold it to a local truck owner and that same exhaust on a ls1 sounded weaker and "Tiener"

    heres a 4.8 with what you can say straight pipe. it sounds like a damm tractor. i hate it



    now here is my 6.0 with almost same cam as the 4.8 has. this was with same super 40 as the other clips ith stock Y pipe minus cats and mids

    as you can tell a motor makes huge difference in sound

    now this iswhat a 408 sounds like


    each motor has it own sound

    I have a dual in dual out 50 series flowmaster on my truck its true duals with gutted out cats. I like mine cause its kinda quite but if u want a good sound that someone will hear u coming go with true dual regular 40s. My friend had a stock 4.8 with true dual 40s with no cats and it sounded really good!!! Everyone around here loved it!
