Yeah, the might be an issue. Most automoive lenders typically won't lend that much on a vehicle over 5 years old--no matter the mileage or how old it is. But if you go through your own FCU, then you might get lucky... I hope it works for ya!

Very true, but the Pres of the Loan Dept is REALLY good friends of the family. I'm thinkin of offerin 17,500 to offset the cost of the plane ticket, but if he doesn't take I wouldn't blame him. It's worth every penny he's askin I think. Gonna try to get 3,500 from my truck, keep 1000 of that for plane and gas and put 2500 as a down payment. 15,000 over 4 years puts me at about $350/month. Too easy!
I think that the CU see's that it has low miles they'll give me the loan, Just gotta check.

Well, Talked to the CU and they said that the clean Loan value is 12,800. All I need to do is get the truck appraised and they'll increase the lending value to whatever the appraisal value is.
Anyone know any appraisal companies in SoCal? I don't even know how this would work.

It doesn't matter if it's 6-years old as long as the loan is for a "proper representative amount". Once they're 10 years old a tote the note is pretty much the only way.

In the process of selling my bike. Maybe 2 weeks till it's gone. then I can do it. I'll then be selling my truck for whatever I can get for it. I'm thinkin if I put 3500 on it it should sell rather quickly. Still runs ok for the most part. Just gotta get the O2 sensors replaced and replace the intake. Anyone lookin for a truck???
