    New Truck in my sights!

If you want to get to my actuall question, skip the following text: Well, I've been planning on doing an LS2 swap on my truck. It's 10 years old. The body squeaks a lil. My Front shocks are going out. My o2 sensors are shot. It idles like crap, my CAI is actually a freezing air intake right now cause it's in the negs up here. Not to mention that the FAI is just a thin piece of amulinum that is held together by a miracle. The interior is pretty worn. My stereo resets itself when I touch it and it's cold outside. My rims are missing the center caps and the chrome is flaking off them. My windshield is cracked. and that's all I can reall think of right now. Ohhh, and my front bumper is a lil out of line and it's scratching my front fenders.

MMMkay, here's where to start reading:
Been throwing around the idea of picking up a used SSS. lookin at a 2003 AWD boosted 408 stroker. This is a guy from over on SSS.com and wanted to know if anyone knew of this truck or it's owner. Guy seems really nice and honest. Only reason I ask is because in my career it's "Trust but Verify". Any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Also, who thinks this is a deal I should jump on. I will have to finance the truck so if that would make any of you think twice please elaborate. Following is a link to the F/S thread. Not a fan of the 22'S so if I get it they'll be replaced with some 20" Stingray III's. Thanks fellas. I know by tomorrow morning I'll have about 9 replies.

I'm hoping that I can at least pull $3500 from selling my truck. If I was still in texas i don't think it would be a problem but up here, 2WD is not looked upon very highly.

Wheels are ugly as can be and count on having to put a 4l80e in it soon.

Seriously it looks like things are falling in place. A guy called me yesterday wanting to buy my bike. PLUS I Just got my tax refund and paid off all my bills. Except for the wife's jeep. Do any of ya'll see a problem with financing this through my FCU. My worry is that they might see it as being 6 years old and not for what it is. 53k on the body and 17k on the engine.
