Well, no actual work progress, but got parts ordered so that is progress to me.

Complete new front end coming...disc brake conversion with 3" drop, new booster, master cylinder, prop valve, lines, calipers, etc. You get the idea.

Also ordered 5" drop springs for the rear.

I will get driveshaft measurements this weekend, and send those to Denny's.

I am thinking end of February I should be able to drive it for the first time (under it's own power!).

Well, no pics right now, but I thought I would update...

Still waiting on the front suspension to arrive They said it shipped Monday, so we will see.

Wiring is 98% done. All guages are hooked up, and cycle with the ignition. Motor turns over via the ignition key, so it appears I wired everything right! Catch can (overflow) is installed, 40k trans cooler installed, oil cooler waiting to go on. Efans work, also added direct ground switch to manually control when needed. Fuel pump pressurizes to 60lb via ignition, no leaks. New headlight switch too (because I broke the original trying to put it back in )

She will soon be making a trip to DBRODS for new 9" rear axle with locker. Maybe shortened just a *little* We will also have to lower the trans mount and space up the tail because the yolk hits the crossmember. Once that is fixed, exhaust can be finished.

From experience... I suggest you do the headlight relay mod if you plan on driving it after dark. It made a huge difference on mine when I did it. The problem is the wiring is so tiny from the factory that it can't carry sufficient current to power the headlights correctly.

Did that for highs and lows on my Chevelle and it was totally worth it!

What it involves is using the wire that originally powered the headlights (lows and highs requires two relays) to trigger a relay closed (instead of powering the lights). The relays are mounted under hood near both a solid 12V source and the lights....so the output voltage that lights the bulbs has only a short distance to travel (less voltage drop) and the input voltage is much stronger. Makes a night and day difference.
