unless you want to exceed however much boost the 112 will make (probably 10 or 12?) then i see little advantage with a turbo. plus a blower is more fun to drive, no lag. a turbo would probably cost allot of money to get set up right.

I would ask if you Hot-Dog have had a turbo charged gas or a supercharged engine at all. You are right a turbo does cost more but I disagree with there being little advantage.

The maggie will generate more heat the more boost it puts out. Its intercooling capacity is limited. A turbos intercooling ability is only limited to the size of the intercooler. A properly setup turbo with a large down pipe will have no lag or make up for it on the top in, much more than a really hot supercharger.

OP think about all of these responses. Look at the ones from people with no experiance in superchargers or turbos. Look at how many people are putting turbos on there trucks. Go look at the fastest time slips and see what everyone is running. The fastest 7 people on the list all have turbos except for one that is running N2O. So how fast do you want to be?
99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.

like i said, if you want to drag race, then get a turbo. if you just want a fun street truck i doubt a supercharger is limiting you very much, they do respond better and make more torque, so there are disadvantages and advantages.

turbos produce more torque!!!!! thats why you see diesels with them. if i wanted a True daily driven vehicle i would consider a maggie, but for a toy a turbo was my weapon of choice.

who said a turbo kit costs more? if you can fab you can have a turbo kit for far less then a blower kit. if you take out all the comestic sh1t i have and do the basic setup of mine. i have about 4k into mine. thats including the 88mm turbo and the 60mm wastegate. two things that are way over kill for the average person. not to mention, with a turbo kit you can easily upgrade more power for not much effort. when you max out the maggie you have to start over with another maggie. with turbo, just change turbo and your set as long as the kit was setup right the first time. i have that amount of money into my setup and i can easily make 1k hp with the right short block.

now i do have more money into other **** that isnt needed to start off with or what average person would choose, just stating a turbo kit is far less money then a maggie. you can self build a turbo kit you cant self build a maggie
