I think we are gonna go with a custom grind camshaft. I can't belive these heads flow so good. I guess I am just usta the old way of more power = heads, cam, intake, exhaust....... That would be why I was looking to switch everything out. This should have the LQ9 head, it is a 2001 6.0 in a escalade???? So maybe some port work, and call it a day, or don't even bother taking them off?
The goal here is a to have a 12's truck. It has gone 14.16@97 mph. with a 2.2 60ft. That was with a P1sc procharger making 8 psi. The trans has just been built, and a 3200 stall has been installed. The truck leaves like a monster now. I am guessing about 2-3 tenths in the 60ft. which should be around .5 in the 1/4. I have been talking to allen over at nelson performance, and I am going to have him do a retune with the T/M taking out, and a couple other things. I am going to ditch the FMU, for 42 pound injectors, Long Tube headers, with a custom catback, going to 10psi pulley, and thats is where doing a cam and heads cam into play. So I am open for any other suggestion on how to get it where I'd like it to be for this guy?
