Well that would mean less welding if it doesn't have to be tied into the downpipe. If it doesn't hurt anything I'll just do that.

So I'm clear...the wastegate gets mounted on the crossover? And the BOV gets mounted where...?

    Ah - true true.

The only real question I have is where the BOV and wastegate go.

BOV goes in the intake tube and wastegate goes before the turbo by the flange and will also connect to the down pipe, once you reach what the spring is rated to psi wise then it opens and lets the extra exhaust dump into the downpipe while bypassing the turbo

Wategate inlet needs to be in the hot pipes before the turbo, outlet needs to be in the exhaust somewhere after the turbo. Doesn't really matter if it's in the downpipe or not, as long as it's post-turbo. You could even vent the wastegate outlet separately if you wanted, but it would be loud.

BOV goes anywhere between the turbo and throttle body on the charge pipe side, preferably after the intercooler.

Annoyingly loud? as in I'll be wishing I had dumped it in the exhaust?

Probably. The wastegate is in varying stages of open depending on whether you are in boost or vacuum and how much boost or vacuum you are seeing. If you dump the wastegate instead of feeding it back into the exhaust it will be like having open exhaust under the cab any time the WG is open.
