Thanks for all the info so far guys!! This site seems to be more informative than fullsizechevy.com when it comes to this subject.
my transmission didnt come with a clutch or flywheel or pressure plate or any of that. i bought the ls7 clutch kit and a new slave. i would reccoment the same. itll cost you probably 600+ but it was worth in IMO. the clutch is rated for pretty decent HP and really grabs well. so im not sure if it will bolt up i would assume so...

but the flywheel will come in the LS7 clutch kit and should bolt right on. i did a 5.3 swap and it was a direct swap. i did replace the flywheel bolts though. they were only a few $ on SDparts. my truck came as a 5 speed so i had the option of buying a relocator for the t56 and using a big goofy shifter but i decided to use a short throw hurst t-56 shifter and just cut another hole in my floor. it came up through the floor in what i believe is a PERFECT location at least for the way my seats and arms reach... i love it. soo much faster shifts than the big stick... extremely tight close shifting with the t-56 its taking some getting used to. i already stuffed it from 3rd back into 2 and though i about blew my motor... it sounded pretty nasty... not in a good way. i dont think ive heard a motor scream that loud before haha luckily my foot was still on the clutch and i stuffed it back in before it touched rev limiter.

Ebay, Advanced Adapters and Hooker are a few places that come to mind other than S&P.

i found mine on LS1tech.com the kid was from connecticut and was putting a m-6 in his z28 camaro. bout a 4 hour drive but it was worth it. id check on there or check ebay it i lost like 6 times on ebay and got fed up with it and just bought it outright from someone. no bidding wars involved.
