Was it truly a 5.0? Or a 5.3? Not sure if it's similar to a Holden Vehicles thing or something where the drivetrain is a little different...?

The 5.0 was pretty common in the 88-98.. A guy where I work even has a "99 classic" with the OBS and a 5.0.
