    The VHo's have a 14 bolt 6 lug and the SS's? 14 bolt, 9.5 ring gear 6 lug.

    2001 4wd had a 14bolt disk brake rear axle. Looked at one at the salvage yard two weeks ago.

    Greg, i used the 14 bolt u bolts and the plates i used the 10 bolt ones, they were a little smaller but i only had one from the 14 bolt worked fine.

    so optimal would be a 14 bolt rear with disck brakes right? 6 lug of course then convert it to 5 lug or buy after market axles? strange and moser make some cheap 5 lug axles...

    I think he has 6 lug anyways, so he should just get a ss or vho 14 bolt. that would be the easiest.

    Find a 454SS 14bolt rear end. Its 5x5 already. Buy a disc brake conversion kit later if you just have to have disc brakes.
