    Okay boys, here's the update.

    Problem – needle bearings on sun gear went out.
    Torque converter looked fine.

    Repair Cost

    Item - Cost
    Superior K4L60E-L shift kit - 55.82
    ‘Vette servo - 10.47
    Red O-ring for servo - 2.65
    Blue O-ring for servo - 2.47
    Aluminum 3-4 accumulator piston - 3.31
    TH4l60E Master Kit 1997 - up - 80.36
    700R4 3-4 PWPK - 29.55
    (don’t know what this is, part of the rebuild)
    TH700R4 Input carrier - 37.17
    Labor/Neutral lock out switch/tranny fluid - 487.00

    Grand Total 708.80

    damn my tranny cost slightly more than that but not by much and its built... coulda been worse tho.

    I got the impression from some other guys here it could have been twice that so I felt I made out pretty good. I know I got all the rebuild parts at the mechanics cost because I picked them up for him. Retail would have been more than twice. He also doesn't open a shop manual and bill me whatever it says, he bills by the actual time spent. I honestly don't see how I could have done any better but if you got your tranny for a little more than what I paid to have mine rebuilt then more power to ya.

    Pretty good price for all the work plus labor for install. At least I assume that was installation labor included in the price.
