gotcha, I know what you mean. I just work off shore and understand why that fuel is so high.(not saying I like it. I work on a sub sea construction vessel and its on the cheap end of the spectrum and it goes for little over 100k a day. I hate to keep fueling the fire here , but I saw on the Trading News that America is 1.9 million barrels over in reserves last week , but Commodity Trader slumped off the report and moved to raise the price per barrel anyways .
Commodity Traders are the one killing us right now , any thing sets them off and up goes the price per barrel .
OPEC said they would pump as much Oil as needed or could flood the American shores with Oil , but it would not matter , the Commodity Market would just keep the price per barrel high .
Want to bitch about someone , slam the Commodity Traders Market , probably lead by Big Oil , Environmentalists , Terrorist and ex-ENRON employees .

Do you not agree that stock market speculators are causing the price of oil to go up? If so, why do you blame the gov't? Because they don't prevent speculation of oil prices? I blame the government for the wars and the lies and death. The agenda is B.S. What exactly is the U.S. government doing? Occupying several foreign countries. Most of which are Muslim. Most of which are the leading producers of oil. except for Saudi Arabia. even though almost all of the hijackers of 911 were Saudis, we went after the Afghani and Iraqis. We are told that they are bad people, and they had WMD's and were terrorists. Yet WE are in their land killing THEIR people. My little brother is over there. they have to keep their heads up and pretend they are actually helping people. When not 1 of the soldiers there believes the crap that they are told.
They have transport convoys that are empty driving around. Just to make money? I volunteered with the rest of the dept to do funeral detail after this 18 year old kid was killed by an IED here. What did he die for? was he defending our country? No. Was he defending the weak? no. He was just Driving around in a convoy. Its almost like the people here dont care. Greg is right they are greedy. Do you remember Col Oliver North? I sat in at one of his seminars where he was talking about what is going on over there, yes he was there. The media isn't telling us the truth about what is going on. The media is biased against the white house and publishes what they choose, anything to get Bush out. North spoke of things you'll never hear about on TV. He's written a book about what he saw and what is really going on over there that they don't want you to know. Its pretty hard to find because the press has all but sequestered its circulation.

Man, I am kinda sick and tired of hearing people complain about this war stuff. Do you think we (the US) is just going to tuck our tail between our legs when some terriorist group comes over here and plots to kill thousands of innocent US citizens by crashing commercial airliners into 2 monumental NY buildings and a Federal Government building? BS. I could give a flying EFF if there were no weapons of mass destruction. We had to do something. Yes, it is almost 8 years since that tragic day and this war campaign has lasted too long. We should have all of the underlying issues of this war taken care of by now but we don't. We need to quit effing around and nuke those EFFERS already. BOOM...problem solved.
And Chevy-Art is 100% correct when he stated that crude prices are driven by speculators. It sucks, but they are the main reason for the prices being so high. And the oil companies are not going to sit there and say they shouldn't be that high--would you? We (the consumer) really can't do anything about it. I also think is is hilarious that people dream up these CRAZY ideas by sending out emails to try and get people not to buy gas from certain companies or not to buy gas on certain days of the week. Doing so isn't going to do and damn bit of good. The only way for gas prices to go down is if the speculators to say they they need to...

You people are not taking into account the demand for oil in India and China. China has a hwy system half the size of ours. In 15 years it will be 5 times larger and they will have the vehicles to clog the roads also. Another reason for the high prices is the bottle neck in the refining industry. They have to stop production twice a year and change things around to make up to 15 different blends because the government bows to the tree huggers. There has not been a refinery built anywhere in the country because of the tree huggers and the not in my back yard crowd tying the hands of the oil producers threw govt legislation. Anyone who sits and waits on the govt to bail them out deserves what they get. If you are naive enough to believe the war is about oil and greedy politicians more power to you.
