Video from a couple months ago.

This was at the Crystal City track, which is an old air strip. There's all kinds of bumps, pot-holes, and it's uphill. The launch pad is really slippery and most of the high-powered cars were spinning through half the track.

I had raced early that day against a Shelby Cobra(not a mustang). I remember pulling up to the staging beams and hearing all hell break loose[Cobra doing a burnout]. My windows were blacked out, so I couldn't see it + my harness kept me front sticking my head out the window. Anyway, then I see the front of it with those huge pipes coming out the side. I remember thinking to myself..."Wow, I've never seen a real Shelby Cobra up close...I'm 'bout to have a whole 1/4mile to study the tail-lights". When we took off, I made sure to take off atleast as hard as him, but careful not to spin. Once I knew I hooked, I put it to the floor and watched him fall behind. People said I beat him by atleast 2 cars.

The car I was racing against in the video was a Z28. I don't know what all he had done, but I remember him saying he had ported LS6 heads and an exhaust, not sure on what else. I hit the brakes early, about right when I got even with the camera, to soften the impacts at the end of the track(huge dips caused me to bottom out). I ended up scraping my LCA's and crushed my chin spoiler. I decided not to race anymore after that.

I'm hoping to get my truck tuned(if I can find someone to help me), then take it to HRP and race my uncle. He has a green 69 GTO Judge clone with a 505 in it. Maybe some of ya'll have seen him there with his Pontiac club? I don't think he runs it very often though.

A few years ago, Allen dropped a 6.0 into my wife's truck(2000 Sierra). And last year when I wrecked that truck, I pulled the motor and brought it to my house. My 82 just happened to be sitting in front with no motor while I was taking pictures of the 6L.

This picture really got me motivated to do the swap.

I guess I was a little embarrassed because my truck should be faster than this. When you compare my truck to a bunch of others on here, they are running the same(or better) numbers as me, but with less into their setup. At first I was proud of my truck, but now I see that cammed 5.3's(some in extended cabs) are running the same or better. I really think it's the tuning, but I can't afford to pay $490 for tuning right now, so I'm gonna have to tune it myself. I might just spray my 150shot and pray that it doesn't blow up.
