    Well Believe it or not the popping was due to low battery voltage. after checking the battery because it dies all the time, i found it had become sulfated. got a new battery. get this, shifts feel nicer, popping is gone. feels like a new truck! i drove it like 50 miles today, gives me second thoughts lol.
