    Yeah, it is a good idea to go ahead and purchase the ARP studs because they ARE reuseable. That will help with expenses if you have to remove the heads again. And since your motor is the 02, you do have different length head studs. You also need to make sure you know the stud torque procedure.

    in that procedure would i be design type 1 or 2? its 1 right? because i have 2 shorter studs on each side?

    be sure you follow the directions that come with the ARP kit and use the lube they'll supply you with on the bolts, bolt heads and washers.

    yeah 150$ isnt all that bad i suppose if i never have to buy another set. and i have to buys some anyways as stock cant be reused so i guess its a good investment. hey greg do you have a part number on those ls1 cadillac racing lifters from SDParts i sent them a message but have heard nothing and dont really wana sound like a tool when i call up asking w/o one lol if not no big deal. thanks!

    Yes, it is Type 1. ARP should send an instruction sheet showing the torque procedure...

    okay so i ordered my stuff yesterday. head gaskets,arp bolts,lifters, and i had my heads resurfaced so i should hopefully get most of it before this weekend. cross my fingers... is there any other steps i need to do before this gets put back together? i cleaned out the heads really good and cleaned all my piston tops of and it looks great. i tried to get most of the factory head gasket material off. but other then that and all the torque specs what else do i need to do? or am i ready to roll? thanks all
