Tyler you need to remember he is running a TIGHT stall, 2400 is very low and that cam will come on hard at 2400.

Cody--I just now read his sig--yeah, that cam will come on strong right with that stall--those PI stalls are tight! I guess for what Zeake wants, that cam will suit him perfectly...

Ok installing cam. Do you have to pull the heads? My tech who has never worked on an ls1 says it is a better idea to pull the heads.. I didn't think we'd have to. It makes me want to buy heads.Dang that burning plastic stinks.

Yeah, no need. Just get some 5/16'' wooden dowel rods to stick into the oil galleys after you spin the cam to keep the lifters up. Then it is YOINK--and the cam comes right out. It is rather simple...

More questions. Would a high perf oil pump add life to the motor? If so what oil pump would you purchase and any thing else need to be done after adding a high perf oil pump? I figure the best thing to do is everything I can afford to do while the motor is out. Even if it means a couple hundred in plastic.

If you have good oil pressure I would not waste the money on the oil pump. Take the wife out for a nice dinner on that plastic to thank her for understanding your craving for power!

Since the motor is on the engine stand no need to put dowels in or anything flip the motor upside down spin the cam pull it out and put the new one in.
