2007 CCSB Z71 VortecMax: Stock!
thats awsome. Good money in fire truck repair cause we beat the shiznit out of them. When you gunna get a vid of truck with new cam?
Yeah we did it at my dads shop. And that was a City of Austin fire truck in there. We have contracts with Austin Killen and Waco to do all the heay equipment. Ambulances, dumptrucks, firetrucks, ect...
And I dont know why my motor was so filthy! Ill start degreasing it and preasure washing it more. If i had a digital camera that had video and sound I could. My camera only does video but not sounds. Maybe I can hook up with wade one night and get him to take some shot of it.

Just be careful not to shoot water under the intake manifold or you'll fill the knock sensor holes full of water and start the corrosion problem on the terminals.![]()

Yeah, we took a while doing the swap/cleaning cause Cody and I showed Daniel ALL about his motor and how to disassemble/assemble everything. Daniel know knows al LOT more than he did... I showed Daniel what you are talking about Greg--how the bottom side of the intake has that black foam insert that is suppose to block dirt, grime, and water...haha--not so much.
Cody--like you said...we need to get DANIEL to to the swap--not us. But we do want it to run correctly. Maybe we will have to do the install after all...
A FAST 90/90 intake would be sweet on his truck...

whats the best thing to use for cleaning a motor up? break clean cuz it evaporates? i noticed when i took my valve covers off there was an orangey brown residue on it and i want to clean it all up plus i will probably get them powder coated. but i really just want to degrease most all of it.
thanks

thanks!
i think i need to get under my hood and clean up my engine too.
i was thinking about picking up a can of that stuff w/ the orange cap, will that work too?
or would i be better off using the brake cleaner?
what should i try to avoid spraying the any of the engine cleaners on?
sorry red03silss for hijacking your thread.
