So true, if you go back and read the entire topic you will read exactly what you're speaking of. Run the hot transmission fluid to the internal radiator mounted cooler to cool the fluid quickly to engine temp and then an external air to air cooler to bring it down as close to outside air as possible. Cooler fluids will increase the life of your transmission.

Just an update of this. I verified that this is the correct cooler P/N# 70266 B&M 28k. It was installed correctly. However, the fact that it was installed behind my FMIC caused it not to get enough cool air for sufficient cooling. Comments?

Sounds like time to move it some place where it can have its own clean air. Is the FMIC taking up the whole front end of the truck's grille area?

Pretty much...I couldn't find a good place for the B&M so I decided to upgrade to the Tru-Cool 40k. No problems and temps never get above 165 even in 100+ degree heat.

So I'm looking at the front end of my 2K Tahoe and it looks like I'm gonna need to take a lot of things off including the grill to have the space to work to install a tranny cooler. I'm assuming it's not majorly difficult just time consuming to take apart the nose on one of these?
na ,its a piece of cake ,mostly pullout tabs and some screws.i can pull my grille out in 5 -10 mins.
