Damn Dale--harsh words!!! I would 100% get a Dodge before a Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Honda, etc... But still, good luck with the purchase man. I am sure you will like driving that gas-guzzling, uglier than a mud fence of a truck that is not "Recommended" by Consumer Reports because it is projected to have less than average reliability ratings... But---to everone their own...

if you here a big clunk then, you engine dies dont be alarmed it was just the cam shaft snapping. they also have tranny and rear end issues

    good luck
like we have room to talk. we have piston slap, tranny issues, rear end issues, drive shaft issues, fuel pump issues, bow through #7 pistons like crazy and so forth...fact is that toyota made a great truck and the american brands are jumping on the defense. the camshaft issue is fixed, and toyota did a hell of a job warrantying the few trucks that had problems.

congrats on the new ride silverado06. wish you woulda posted up that you were looking at tundras. mighta saved some mula that way

why not an 08 silvy with the vortec max? at least then u would have the ease of cam swaps, tuning, etc. now u got a truck that just blends in with the rest of the crowd. hope you do not regret your decision. good luck.

LOL guys--you know me--just razzing him a little. Yes, we all have our own faults...some just have more than others... (Cough, Cough...Ford, Toyota)... Uh, anyway, like I said--congrats on the purchase. I am sure you'll love it. Like doing a multiple cam swap would be fun... Along with getting a good, reliable tuner RIGHT AWAY with thousands of available mods, and a HUGE backing from performance enthuasists...
But when there is a fork in the road we will all go our own separate ways...

Hey thanks man, at least some people stopped with the bashing, im just on here as a friend to some of the guys that helped me out with decisions on my silvy, I really like the truck and from what i understand there arent any more cam probs. I told ducky about the Laps for Charity event at texas motor speedway, then afterwards im going to the track, but only with some dodgetalk guys, the tundratalk guys are all being tools so theyre not goin, I would love to see some of you guys there.
