    intakes ?

im lookinng to do an intake, tb, swap soon .i want to do 90 mm .im only seeing fast in both 90 mm .is it ness for both to be 90 .like bbk is 80 mm int ,and proff products are 85 ,but can i put 90 mm t/b on there .?and then ,i notice on alot of seetups that you dont see theyre harnesses and stuff seeing that our harnesses are somewhat prebent were or how do i make it look ok .instead of having them all crappy looking on the intake or is this just the way ittll be .then do they bolt right up all sensors etc or are they some eliminated ?looks like some of the intakes dont have some of the sensors,or am i looking at the wrong pics.i really dont want too have too buy a fast setup intake ,i think they are rediculously priced.but if its more understandibly justify i ble i will .but i only see fast intakes in cable throttle setups also .maybe some pics or threads would help some of my questions.ive tried 2 bbk tb,dbw and i couldnt even make them work on my truck when i had too do theyre EASY swap too dbw,so i want a dbw plug and play if possible.appreciate any info guys sorry for all the ?s im just trying cover all bases and not wanting too waste more and more money just too do a intake,tb, swap.

You will need to get an intake that will be able to handle the 90mm setup. If you go any larger than 78mm (I think) on a stock intake manifold, then you are "bottle-necking" the air as it enters the manifold. There is no real use in putting a 90mm on unless the intake manifold can support it. I know that the TBSS's use a factory 90mm TB. So that means the intake manifold from the LS2 can handle a 90mm intake easily--and they can even be fitted with a 100mm. I am not sure if the intake from the LS2 can fit on your truck due to clearance issues with the accessory drives. Can anyone else help shed some light? Can Ramsey just throw on a LS2 intake?

sounds like an easier idea to me .i could even just order a new 1 from gm or go to a j/y and see .good idea look for something more compatable .seems like alot of differencials to figure out with aftermarket.unless some one else can through out some better ideas.

I just might have some LS2 heads and intake for a TBSS for sale in the near future. what heads do you have now Ramsey? Yes you do have to relocate some accessories(alternator)

LS2 intake will need the F body waterpump I think. Look for 04chase on silveradoss.com and his sig pic has his intake setup. Very nice making big Horsepower. I have heard LS2 intake is not that great. Just heresay.

I cheat, I have Fbody accessories on my engine so I can put any intake on I want.

I think you'll have to do the same things the Bluecajun did to his truck to install an LS1/LS6 intake. See his sticky in the How-to section. http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/front...take-swap.html

i have the stock lq4 heads off the o6 lq4 ,i cant really move my alt position because my s/c is designed too go into it the s/c came with whole front bracket i had tooo reinstall my power steering pump into it though.i mean with my f/i setup is it even worth doing a intake t/b swap?i saw some awesome heads for a great price tday and thought humm ,i wonder if that would help also.my object here is too squeeze all h/p i can out of the boltons ,soo when i do and will blow my motor ill just reuse everything i can on new badass motor.thatll bee anather thread[new motor].
