    SD Tune?

I've been reading a lot of previous posts talking about SD tuning pro's and con's. I'm just trying to figure out if I should go this route. I will be going to see Allen in a couple of weeks to get a live tune and wanted to know should I stay with my MAF set up or go SD? I will be adding a meth kit as well before the tune. I don't have any tuning software to log or change tuning if needed. I heard that changing weather can play a big factor in an SD tune. What are everyone's thoughts/suggestions??

i think from a daily driver standpoint, you will be better off with the MAF.

Id like to know which is a better way to go myself, as im building a turboed 383 to go into my Sonoma GT.

Why do you say for DD standpoint? Just curious not saying you're wrong but just wanting to know the reasoning.

Well i said that because in a DD type truck, your not at WOT all the time, and i would think that the MAF would give better results, but then again maybe not.

I thought the reason all the OEMs went to MAF's was for better control over everything.

Go with the SD tune. Its about as accurate of a tune as you can get. Yes, Allen knows how to tune the entire rpm/load spectrum in the PCM. He is one of the top LSx tuners in the nation so don't sweat that. You will drive while he tunes. Your tune will be sweet afterwards. No more worries about dirty MAF sensors giving bad readings or falling out of calibration.

I love my SD tune! I think it idles smoother than it did with a MAF. No problems whatsoever. Allen is the man!
