    could it really be detonating red? i only run 93 octane, and i nver heard it knock once. not that i know exactly what to listen for. but no abnormal noises.

    Yeah, they need to check out what is causing the issue. A WOT tune isn't going to work well on a street driven tune when compared to a live tune. I'd still say put a new MAF on there and get a live tune. I would toss the MAF and get a speed density tune if it were me. I'm loving mine.

    Oh yeah, you still need the IAT sensor so you cant toss the MAF unless you install a Camaro type IAT sensor to do that duty.

    jannetty racing had me hooked up to a wideband and hooked to my fuel system and said my fuel pressure was perfect.

    yeah, sounds like they did it correctly. Next question is how many hours they had on the sensor will affect its accuracy.

    alrighty. thanks for the help guys. im gonna do some research, probably buy a high flow maf , and possibly get it retuned. maybe it has something to do with the truck being dyno tuned with 87 octane in the tank, but since then ive just run 93, because jannetty said the computer will adjust the timing automaticlly

    Yeah, you have to learn to bite the bullet on the fuel and only run the highest octane at the pumps. It only makes sense if you paid $500 to get performance from a tune, you gotta run the performance fuel to get the most from the tune otherwise you wasted $500.
