Are ALL 2005 equipped with cylinder deactivation? And is egr an option on certain engines?LOL. I can get a 2005 5.3 w 4,000 miles + harness for hella good price, but is it going be more pain with the great "options"? (fly by wire, egr, selective cylinder management whatever) Convince me that cable TB, no egr, no cyl deactivation ISN'T the way to go....![]()

When did it start? Any differences and cam/heads/pistons since 03ish? Or is that just near the end of the non-DOD engine cycle?
