Trick and kbracing make front mount kits for less than half the cost of a new sts. A front mount will also generally make better power and the oiling systems on rear mounts are a pain. I would go with trick/kbracing or a tvs myself. Both are great options. Just prepare to spend a good bit on supporting mods. In either case a mild cam+boost and the right supporting mods and you have easy 450-500hp.

Quick parts list for a basic setup...
    Trick turbo kit $3000
    High flow fuel pump $200
    Tune $300
    42lbs injectors $400
Toss about 5lbs at it and you will have a solid 100hp bump.
Nice thing about a 2500 is you already have a decent trans and rear so it should be a little more dependable. Not quite so much to spend. However once you get the itch and wanna turn up the boost(and you will I promise) then you will need to start spending on supporting mods again.
