I don't like either option but that's just my opinion. There has to be some place else you can put that filter assy. Under the cab or something. Hell, I'd run hose all the way to under the bed of the truck before putting it under the hood.
Good point RedHeartbeat. My main concern about under doing it underneath was protecting the filters from getting damaged/sheared off, but still make them easy to replace. There are some underneath examples on the AMSOIL site. But, there is plenty of protected space futher back under the bed
Would oil pressure drop be a concern given the extra hose length?
