MDF is like $20 a sheet at Home Depot. Heck if you come into the store I work at I'll sell it to you for $4 a sheet. The price difference between 1/2,5/8, and 3/4 is like $2.

As far as the screen, if I were you I'd be interested to know the model number. They could be selling you a unit that retailed for $550 but the you're buying is a 2006 refurbished model.

I'm a skeptic so I always like to be positive I know what I'm getting. Just being honest. I don't like seeing people's money not being well spent. I know I work hard for mine I'm sure you do too!
