    lifter noise?? thoughts guys??

hey guys, there is some sort of tapping coming from the passenger side of my motor i cant hear anything from under the hood but i from the underside i can hear it good and in the cab its noticeable too standing next to the truck and it gets faster as you rev it so its somethign within the valvetrain. im thinking its a lifter as ive checked all the rockers 3 times and they are all torqued to spec and seem just fine. i put brand new gm lifters in the truck when i did the motor so im not sure what would cause this to happen?? could i have bent a pushrod or something??? i soaked the lifters in oil overnight before i put them in too. i cant stand the noise so i guess my next step it to take the passenger head off and replace the lifters but im wondering if another set of stock gm lifters will do the same thing eventually. i can get a set of performance lifters for 200$ on SDPARTS but is it worth it? its been one thing after another lately but ill have some new pics up for yall soon ive done quite a bit of work on the truck.

so far since march ive had the truck repainted, ive painted the intake manifold pewter and cleared it, polished my entire TB, painted all the accessories and brackets, finished painting my console. lowered the front another 2 inches, i literally cannot fit 3 fingers under my valance. its nasty low and i love it. sorry so long guys just trying to figure out what the deal is.

well my exhaust is completely redone with the long tubes and the noise is still just as prevelant and annoying as ever... cant hear it from under the hood, only when in the cab or from under the truck... PITA!!! what next? tear the heads off and replace all the lifters or leave it and deal with it?

my lifters are noisey. when i fixed my exhaust leak the motor actually sounded quieter. somehow the noises mesh and ampify eachother

get yourself a peice of heater hose 5/8 diameter and stick up to your ear and other part to motor. this will allow you to hear the noises clearer. its like sticking a glass on yoru sisters wall and listening to her and her friends talk about you lol.

seriously tho the hose trick works well. or can do a long screw driver or long extension or even the broom stick. the hose gives more deffintion of sound from my experience

bent valves woudl cause motor to run like poop
