    when i worked at the deapership..especially with an oil pressure issue..never trust electric stuff....mechanical FTW

    I had a car do that and it locked up completely. Good Luck. I would not drive it unitl you know. Engine noise is not a good sign at all.

    at the back of the block by the oil filter there is a little wierd looking plate with 2 bolts in it...you can take it off and drill and tap it...it's where we tap for the oil feed lines for the turbos and superchargers...Moze has some pics in his turbo build

    Just above the oil filter is a block off plate with a lug sticking up. Remove the block off plate from the truck and put it in a vise. Protect the mating surface with a piece of a stir stick or something if you clamp on that surface. Take an 11/32" (.343) drill and drill through the lug into the oil galley. There should have already been a pilot hole in that location. Get a 1/8NPT tap and thread it in about 10 turns to make new threads. Screw the new sensor in after blowing the chips out and re-install it back onto the side of the oil pan. Now you're ready to wire it up.

    the easiest way is to pull the entire engine, have nelson install a fresh 408 turbo motor. problem solved. it's that easy!

    Its not quite as bad today. This is a video of idle. You can see it going from roughly 20-30psi. It pulses even worse when i am driving. I havent driven but maybe 5-6 mins today home to work. This isnt nomal is it? It hasnt made that ticking noise since yesterday.
