Allen can explain it better than me. The TB opening is 100% controlled by the PCM and its internal programming. The tuner can program it to behave differently but I don't know about being able to get 100% throttle at acceleration from a dead stop. Transmission torque management plays a big role in the power output and I am sure that the PCM won't let you have all the power you want unless the program is adjusted to allow it from a dead stop when programming the DBW system. I think DBW came out in 2003 when the new PCM came out with the blue and green connectors.

thats why im damn glad i have the an 02 with a cable throttlebody. no torque management b.s. to deal with. i think 02 was the last of the best. gen3, but not annoyingly complicated.![]()
