    SC, I do not wanna see this motor f-ed up in any way, so with my modest knowledge of this stuff, please wait to about 750-1000 miles before you romp on it... I am sure that most automotive manufacturers put each and every motor that is dropped in the assembly line has about 10+ hours of run time before it is placed into the vehicle...but this is heresay, and we all know we think of that...

    Yes, some say do it, some say don't...
    But you have to push it a little--kinda like SC is doing to around 4K--to get the heat cycles up so that all of the motor components (e.g. rings) find their set from the intermittent heat cycles...

    The correct answer is the procedure that your engine builder recommends to keep your engine in warranty.
