"The TC has "fused" itself to the output shaft. The pump vanes are blown apart and sitting in several pieces."

I don't know what that means but it sounds expensive.

Therefore, I'm gettin' a new trans this week. Tech at GM says he can get me parts cheap "on the DL" and rebuild it with beefier parts that could support 600+ hp. Charging $800-900. With my recent luck, the rear end will shatter as soon as I hit the gas.

    Will keep you updated.

Sounds like someone didn't get the convertor installed correctly before bolting the engine in place and broke the pump.

Was this with the TCI or Yank Convertor?
